Monashee's model depends on being able to bring the right senior operator to the right engagement. We actively cultivate a network of practitioners and adjacent firms whose work complements our own.
A curated pool of senior operators — former CIOs, CTOs, CFOs, COOs, CROs, and functional specialists — who take on engagements through Monashee either as the primary operator on a specific workstream or as supporting capacity on a larger project. The firm retains the client relationship, delivery standards, and engagement ownership. Practitioners focus on the work.
Operators who have run the function, not advised from the outside. Most have held senior operating roles at PE-backed, mid-market, or enterprise organizations and have since moved into fractional or project-based practice. Credential and firm-name filters are less interesting to us than the quality of work and the discipline of the person running it.
Engagements are scoped with the client, then allocated to the practitioner whose experience fits. Fee structures are set per engagement with clear economics on both sides. The model is additive — it gives senior operators access to deal flow and delivery infrastructure without having to run their own practice end-to-end, and it gives clients access to capacity and specific depth they couldn't otherwise reach at our size.
